Luminest Community Development, formerly Valley Community Housing started in July 2002 as a startup non-profit to develop affordable homes in Franklin County. The Board of Directors envisioned building stronger neighborhoods, better homes and brighter futures for families throughout Franklin County.  Luminest Community Development achieves those goals with each new development.  

Luminest Community Development begins working in communities from the ground up.  We meet with local community leaders to discuss the needs of their neighborhood and develop a plan that works.  This model for business development, creates lasting partnerships with our Franklin, Adams and Cumberland County communities and most importantly creates homes that families are proud to call home.  

Our homes lease quickly and provide beautiful homes to many working families and seniors in settings that combine the comforts of a local town with the feel of country living.  We have built and sold homes in both Chambersburg and Waynesboro to first time homebuyer families in an area that benefits from the stability of family owned homes and later became a catalyst for further growth and development in the same block.
